Several offenders are in custody following a string of armed robberies in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago.
The latest incident occurred at a Mariano’s parking lot in Park Ridge, where victims were robbed at gunpoint of their personal belongings, including wallets and cell phones.
The suspects fled the scene in a white and black Jeep Compass.
Minutes before the Mariano’s robbery, another incident occurred in the parking lot of Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, where two men were held at gunpoint and robbed of their money and cell phones.
Police later spotted the same Jeep and took the occupants into custody.
The recent incidents have left residents concerned, as the area is known for its safety.
Police have not confirmed whether these incidents are connected to any other incidents.
Investigations are ongoing.
