A mother from Akron has been killed in a suspected drunk driving accident just after she dropped off her 4-year-old daughter at preschool on Tuesday morning.

Tashana Junius was described as a caring person who was always willing to help others, and had recently become a licensed realtor after graduating from Kent State University as a nurse.

She was stopped at a red light at the intersection of Manchester and Wilbeth Roads when her Kia Optima was hit by a Ford Taurus driven by a 35-year-old man who police suspect was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The impact pushed her car into another vehicle, resulting in her death.

No charges have been filed yet, but the driver will face charges.

Tashana’s family is urging people not to drink and drive and to love their loved ones while they can.
