A mother is set to make her first court appearance after being charged with murder in connection to the death of her one-year-old daughter.

The investigation conducted by the police led to the charges against the mother.

The incident has brought immense sorrow, particularly during Mother’s Day weekend.

The accused mother, Asia Calabrese Lewis, is currently being held at Fulton County Jail in metro Atlanta.

Today, she is scheduled to appear before a judge.

Lewis faces murder charges in relation to the recent death of her one-year-old daughter, Nirvana Oliver.

The tragic incident unfolded earlier this week when Sandy Springs police responded to a call at the Concourse Business Complex.

The call reported a woman in distress at the location.

Upon arriving at the scene, the police discovered little Nirvana submerged in a pond within the business park.

The investigation into the case resulted in murder charges being filed against Lewis.

Nirvana’s paternal grandfather expressed his deep grief for his son and beloved grandbaby.

He had the heartbreaking experience of witnessing Lewis’ arrest.

He questioned why his innocent granddaughter had to lose her life at just 23 months old.

Little Nirvana would have turned two soon, but her life was tragically cut short.

Her mother, Asia, is set to appear at the Fulton County Courthouse this morning for her initial court hearing.
