Morningside baseball team had a dominant win against Dakota Wesleyan in a doubleheader, with a seven-run inning leading them to a 13-5 victory in the first game.

Currently ranking third in the GPAC standings, the Mustangs showed their strength in the bottom of the second inning.

Brian Garcia hit a grounder to right field, bringing in Ryan Kielbasa to make the score 2-1 in favor of Morningside.

The Mustangs continued to pile on the runs, with Alex Cal Breeze taking advantage of a wild pitch to extend the lead to 4-1.

Elijah Rood’s hit past second base allowed Brian Garcia and Hunter Hope to come home, making it 6-1.

Nick Grajeda’s high shot to left field brought in Zach Hefty, capping off a seven-run inning for Morningside.

With this impressive performance, the Mustangs look set to continue their successful season.
