Monmouth University, New Jersey: Police have lifted the shelter in place order following reports of a possible armed suspect and shots fired.
After nearly four and a half hours of confusion, it was confirmed that there was no evidence of a suspect or shots fired on campus.
Police interviewed a person of interest and found that they were carrying a curling iron, which had been mistaken for a weapon.
Meanwhile, the grand jury investigation into former President Trump’s hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels continues, with sources saying at least one more witness may be called to testify before the panel of 23 men and women.
Security is being ramped up around the courthouse as the investigation centers on whether Trump’s payment broke campaign spending laws.
While the Manhattan DA’s office is not commenting, it is believed that an indictment could come at any time.
