Community members are invited to check out a new and impressive model train setup. This model railroad openhouse, located at the old library in East Moline, showcases a train model that is over 2,000 feet long. It provides a realistic experience, giving people an inside look into how trains operate. It is worth noting that this is the first time the model engineer society has organized the event at this new location. Living in an area with a strong focus on trains, such as Silva CE Ming Ming, there are several train lines passing through, including the Iowa Interstate.
This attracts many train enthusiasts and keeps them engaged. The setup itself took almost a year to establish, and there are plans to further enhance the tracks in the future..
