WPTV First Alert Weather Forecast – May 9, 2023

The morning of May 9, 2023, brings a mixed weather outlook for the West Palm Beach area, as reported by WPTV First Alert Weather.

Although the day starts off dry and comfortable due to the influence of high pressure, there is a possibility of isolated thunderstorms popping up later in the day.

As of now, temperatures are pleasant, with West Palm Beach at 71 degrees and other areas in the 60s.

Inland regions like Wellington, Belle Glade, and Okeechobee can expect temperatures nearing 90 degrees, while the rest of the region will see highs in the mid to upper 80s.

The presence of high pressure ensures a sunny day with a few clouds drifting in from the Gulf, but no rain is expected.

However, a front moving southward is likely to trigger isolated thunderstorms tomorrow and Thursday, increasing the chance of rain to 40%.

Friday may bring scattered thunderstorms accompanied by breezy winds.

As the weekend approaches, the rain chance decreases slightly, offering a potentially pleasant morning on Mother’s Day.

However, there is a possibility of pop-up thunderstorms later in the afternoon.

Overall, the weather forecast for the West Palm Beach area remains fair, with a mix of sun and clouds, isolated thunderstorms, and temperatures gradually rising into the 90s.

Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather reports to plan their outdoor activities accordingly.
