The family of a missing man from Lodi, California has identified his body after it was discovered by a search and dive team inside his car in Stockton.
Jacob Van Zandt, who had been missing for nearly two months, was found at the bottom of a slu in rural Stockton.
According to his girlfriend of nine years, the last time anyone who knew or saw him ever spoke to him was at a restaurant in downtown Lodi.
Van Zandt’s family hired the dive crew after eight weeks of waiting for any news.
The dive team found Van Zandt’s white Honda Pilot with severe damage to the front end, and they believe that the front windshield was blown out.
Van Zandt’s girlfriend says he will always be a part of her with or without him.
The family thanked the communities in Lodi and Stockton for their support during this difficult time.
