A woman was shot while walking in Milwaukee early this morning.
The incident took place near 12th Street and Atkinson Avenue at around 5:45 am.
The victim is expected to survive, but no arrests have been made by the police.
News reports show that detectives and an evidence technician were investigating the incident, focusing on a broken window on the south side of a nearby home.
They were also seen searching for shell casings and other evidence in the front lawn.
12th Street was shut down during the investigation south of Atkinson.
The police are still investigating the shooting.
