Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts residents can expect a mild start to the week with above-average temperatures.

Michelle Muscatello, a meteorologist with 12 News, predicts that Tuesday, March 21, 2023, will be the pick of the week, with temperatures in the upper 50s.

While coastal areas may be a few degrees cooler than inland spots, temperatures are still expected to be well above average.

Inland temperatures are predicted to reach the upper 50s to low 60s, with West Warwick expected to hit around 60 degrees and Seconk and Westford in the mid-50s.

New Bedford is also expected to see temperatures in the mid-50s.

A cool front will pass through the area tonight, bringing dry skies and partly cloudy conditions.

Low temperatures are expected to fall to the middle 30s overnight.

Tomorrow is also predicted to be mild, with increasing clouds and some light showers in the forecast for Thursday.

Despite the rain, temperatures are expected to remain warmer than normal.

Overall, Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts residents can look forward to a nice start to the week with pleasant temperatures.
