A person has been treated for smoke inhalation and a dog has died in a house fire in Midwest City.

Firefighters were called to the scene where the flames had started in the garage and quickly spread to the rest of the home.

Although the cause of the fire is still under investigation, the people living in the house were able to escape safely.

Unfortunately, a dog did not make it out alive.

Firefighters say they are unsure how the fire started.

The incident is currently under investigation.
