A massive fire has torn through two homes in the High Bridge section of the Bronx in New York City.

The flames quickly spread through the buildings on Ogden Avenue after breaking out just after 1:10 a.m.

Firefighters’ main concern was to prevent the fire from spreading to the nearby apartment building, and residents were evacuated.

Around 180 members of the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) were on the scene to control the blaze, which did not spread beyond the two vacant homes.

Fortunately, no one was hurt in the incident, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
