A sinkhole opened up near the Las Posas Country Club in Camarillo due to heavy rains, resulting in the evacuation of four homes.

The sinkhole, which measured 30 by 30 feet, was located on the property lines between two homes.

Fire crews evacuated the homes in the area as a precaution, and some roads were blocked off.

The Ventura County Fire Department and Sheriff’s Office were called in to assess the situation, and a UAV was flown above the area to provide a better perspective.

Sandbags and warning signs have been provided to residents, and the situation will be monitored due to expected rainfall.
