A Massachusetts lawyer, Richard Comenzo, has been convicted of possession and distribution of child pornography.
According to court documents, dozens of files containing photos of prepubescent children in various stages of undress were found on two computers inside Comenzo’s apartment.
Comenzo, who hails from Brookline and Stoughton, had claimed during his trial that he was allowed to have child pornography because he was a lawyer, but the judge in Dedham Superior Court rejected his defense.
Comenzo now faces a maximum sentence of 20 years.
