Police Seek Man Accused of Killing Ex-Girlfriend in Hayward

Hayward police are currently on the lookout for Vaughn Boatner, who is the prime suspect in the tragic shooting that resulted in the death of his ex-girlfriend, Monique Aldridge.

The incident occurred last Thursday at a residence on Gasia Drive in Hayward, where Aldridge resided with their 5-year-old child.

Reports indicate that Boatner, aged 33, allegedly shot and killed Aldridge, while also critically injuring an Oakland man who is believed to have been dating her.

The injured man, whose identity remains undisclosed, is currently hospitalized in critical condition.

Investigators have determined that the shooting was not a random act of violence.

Boatner, who hails from San Mateo, had a prior relationship with Aldridge, and they share a child together.

It is believed that the couple was living together at the time of the incident.

Hayward Police are urging the public to come forward with any information regarding Boatner’s whereabouts.

He is considered armed and dangerous, posing a significant threat to the community.

In an effort to expedite his capture, a reward of $10,000 is being offered to anyone who provides information that leads to his arrest.

Furthermore, a separate development has emerged regarding a retail chain’s involvement in addressing the opioid crisis in San Francisco.

The chain has pledged a total sum of $230 million over the course of 14 years towards combating the crisis.

It is important to note that this news is unrelated to the ongoing investigation into Aldridge’s murder.

Authorities are determined to apprehend Vaughn Boatner swiftly and bring him to justice.

They are relying on the cooperation of the public to aid in his capture, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

If you have any information regarding the suspect or his whereabouts, please contact Hayward Police immediately.
