A residential burglary interrupted the peace in a typically quiet town in Contra Costa County. The incident occurred after the police intervened in the robbery. Jody Hernandez from NBC explains that the neighbors are shocked by the incident. The Arinda neighborhood is known for its tranquility and safety, which is why many people choose to live here.
However, this morning was far from calm as a frantic manhunt unfolded in the area. The police responded to a report of a suspicious person in the vicinity and arrived to investigate. They discovered a parked car in a driveway on Lloyd Lane connected to the individual in question. Upon further inspection, they caught three individuals leaving the house with stolen items.
It is an incredibly violating experience to have a stranger break into your home, and the residents of the neighborhood were understandably disturbed by the incident. The authorities managed to apprehend two of the suspects, but despite utilizing canines and drones, they were unable to locate the third individual. The homeowners, who had been away at the time of the burglary, returned home later in the day, shaken by the ordeal.
Everyone in the area agrees that this is the most frightening incident to ever occur there. It is always shocking and surprising when something like this happens in your own backyard. Meanwhile, investigators have seized the car, which had stolen license plates.
The police are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist them in their investigation. Jody Hernandez reporting for NBC Bay Area News in Arinda..
