Vandals have caused extensive damage to the Merrill Cemetery in Manchester, New Hampshire.

According to police reports, over a dozen headstones were damaged, with some knocked down, others shattered, and some covered in paint.

The estimated cost of the damage is around $20,000.

The incident’s exact time is unknown, and police have not yet identified any suspects.

The president of the New Hampshire Cemetery Association, speaking on the matter, pointed out that older cemeteries like this one are not monitored daily, and this vandalism could have occurred over the winter, unnoticed due to snow.
