A man has been charged with murder and attempted murder in connection with the fatal stabbing of a teenage boy and an attack on a second victim.
The incident occurred last week when the 17-year-old victim was waiting for his mother to pick him up from school.
The suspect surrendered to police after an hours-long standoff outside his home in Alhambra.
He was identified as the man seen on surveillance video attacking the victim.
The suspect is also believed to have stabbed another person a few hours later, who survived the attack.
The LA County District Attorney’s Office has formally charged the suspect with one count of murder and one count of attempted murder, and he could face life in prison.
