A man has been arrested and charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting at his ex-girlfriend and causing a car crash in Madera County, California.
The woman reported to officers that she was being pursued by the man on Highway 99 when he opened fire, causing her to lose control of her car and roll down an embankment.
She and another passenger managed to escape and hide in an orchard until law enforcement arrived.
The accused shooter is now in jail and facing multiple charges.
