Police release chilling surveillance footage of Tennessee school shooting that claimed six lives, including three children. Senate Staffer Stabbed in Vicious Random Attack in DC Neighborhood

A 23-year-old man, Taj Z Mullins, is facing multiple felony charges, including attempted murder and aggravated assault of a peace officer, after he allegedly hit a Chicago police officer with his car while evading police on Lake Shore Drive on Friday.

He was later captured and taken into custody at Area Three Police Headquarters, where he tried to escape through the ceiling on Saturday.

The attempted escape resulted in significant damage to holding and administrative spaces, including knocked-over furniture, scattered ceiling panes, and plaster in at least five rooms.

During the chase, police discovered a dead body and suspected that the vehicle Mullins was driving was associated with another crime.

After being arrested, Mullins was taken back to Area Three for processing, where he somehow broke away from custody and climbed into the ceiling.

He was eventually caught and is now facing multiple charges, including attempted murder and aggravated assault of a peace officer.

Mullins also has warrants for his arrest in at least two other states outside of Chicago.

He is expected to appear in court later today.
