A 29-year-old man, Edward Lynch, is currently held in custody for allegedly committing a home invasion and attempting to sexually assault two 13-year-old girls in South Jersey. The incident occurred on Troy Avenue in Belmare, at around 7:00 in the morning. During his arrest, Lynch resisted by attempting to disarm an officer.
Additionally, he has been charged with assaulting an EMT who was providing medical assistance at the scene..
