Two people, a man and a 16-year-old boy, were found shot to death at an apartment pool in Santa Clarita.
The shooting happened just before 11 a.m.
on Saturday morning and police believe it may be gang-related.
Two other kids were at the jacuzzi area when the shooting happened and were forced to run when the gunfire erupted.
Witnesses told officers that a man was spotted lurking around the pool and he started unloading his firearm over the fence before driving away in a white car.
Police detained two men as persons of interest in the deadly shootings, but so far, no arrests have been made.
Gang activity has reportedly increased in the area, and neighbors are hoping for an end to the violence.
The apartment complex has been closed to the public for most of the day, and the investigation is ongoing.
