A Maine woman has been arrested for allegedly making a false threat against a Walmart in New Hampshire, resulting in the store’s evacuation.
Meghan Leavitt, 38, of Alfred, called the police yesterday morning to report that there was an explosive at the Walmart in Seabrook.
The authorities received a second call stating that there was a man with a gun at the store.
Police evacuated the Walmart and nearby stores and called in a state bomb squad to search the store for explosives, but it was quickly determined that the calls were hoaxes.
Leavitt was arrested and is facing multiple charges, including falsely reporting explosives.
She is scheduled to appear in a New Hampshire court tomorrow, Monday, March 20th.
