A Long Island woman, Angela Pollina, has been found guilty on all charges related to the death of her ex-fiancé’s 8-year-old son, Thomas Valva.
The verdict came out on Friday after Pollina was charged with second-degree murder and child endangerment for the January 2020 death of the boy.
The medical examiner listed the cause of death as hypothermia, as the boy had been forced by Pollina to live in the garage for months despite his autism and incontinence issues.
Michael Valva, the father, was convicted last fall, and Pollina now faces the same fate.
Valva is serving a sentence of 25 years to life, while Pollina will be sent to six months.
