Local Teen’s Condition Remains Critical After Car Crash

The family and friends of 16-year-old Brady Niver are asking for prayers as the Fulton teen remains in critical condition following a car crash that killed his girlfriend, 17-year-old Rylee Bartlett, last weekend.

According to Oswego County Sheriff’s Deputies, Bartlett crossed over the center line on State Route 48 and hit a minivan.

The two people in the minivan are still in the hospital.

In other news, a Syracuse man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison after admitting to a deadly shooting in Armory Square last year.

Brandon Rolfe pleaded guilty to one count of murder and four counts of attempted murder for firing his gun at a group of people, killing 24-year-old Akok Lual.

Four Syracuse firefighters who were injured in a fire on the city’s near west side have all been released from the hospital.

One firefighter was treated for burns, while the other three were checked out for symptoms they experienced while fighting the fire.

Due to the Crawfish Festival and Mountain Goat Run this weekend, several road closures will be in effect in downtown Syracuse.

West Water Street will become a two-way street, and parts of Erie Boulevard West and Clinton Street will close.
