The Korean government’s ethics committee has disclosed the property registration details of senior public officials appointed last December.
The disclosure includes a total of 67 individuals, including 12 newly appointed officials, 24 promoted officials, and 28 retired officials.
Among them, Bang Seung-chan, the director of the Korea Electronics Communication Research Institute, reported a property worth KRW 95.7 billion, including KRW 5.42 billion in real estate.
He had the highest reported property value among the disclosed individuals.
Meanwhile, the director of the Regional Disease Control Headquarters, who reported KRW 5.2 billion in property, was found to have sold all of their spouse’s bio stocks at the time of their appointment.
