Four kidnapped children were found safe on Monday in Beaverhead and Missoula counties after a multi-state pursuit.

The incident involved multiple law enforcement agencies and led to the arrest of kidnapping suspects who had fled from Utah with the children.

According to Beaverhead County Sheriff David Wentz, his agency received a tip in the morning to be on the lookout for a woman who did not have custody of the children and was armed with firearms.

After discovering that one of the suspects had rented a U-Haul, law enforcement agencies found and stopped the truck safely just south of Dillon.

One man was taken into custody along with one of the missing children.

Later, the non-custodial mother was arrested by Missoula police, who were able to find the remaining three missing children.

No harm was done to the children, and the suspects are now in custody.
