The Kern County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) recently conducted an aerial survey of the Kern Valley and McFarland areas, revealing flowing water in the aftermath of a severe storm.

District one supervisor Philip Peters and Bakersfield congressman and house Speaker Kevin McCarthy were also present during the survey.

Despite the storm clearing out on Sunday morning, officials are warning residents to prepare for possible flooding as more rain is expected in the coming days.
