Kansas City celebrates St.
Patrick’s Day with one of the largest parades in the country, even in frigid temperatures.
The event drew crowds to line the parade route.
KMBC9 Donna Pitman reported live from the parade route and interviewed attendees, including a young boy named Malcolm who enjoyed the candy and King Candy float.
Pitman noted that despite the cold weather, the parade brought together people of all ages and families, and it was heartwarming to see after several years of not being able to gather due to COVID-19.
She also pointed out that the parade was even bigger than the Super Bowl parade, with participants including a double-decker celebrator, showcasing the spirit of Kansas City.
