In Juarez, a Venezuelan migrant named America Rivera has opened up a restaurant called El Sazon Eatery.
Rivera, who is originally from Caracas, is operating the restaurant while she waits for her asylum appointment in the United States.
El Sazon is selling typical South American dishes like arepas, meat empanadas, and other popular dishes.
Rivera hopes to set an example for other migrants by working during her stay on the border.
El Sazon has become a gathering place for Venezuelan migrants passing through Juarez who want to savor a taste of home.
These migrants are showing that they are willing to work while they wait for their asylum to process through in the U.S.
