Jeju Autonomous Province Takes Concrete Steps to Secure Special Autonomous Province Status
Jeju Autonomous Province is intensifying its efforts to secure its constitutional status as a special autonomous province.
On the 15th of this month, Jeju will hold a symposium at the National Assembly Members’ Office Building to discuss the necessity and direction of constitutional amendments, as well as to actively promote public consensus on reflecting the constitutional status of special autonomy.
In particular, through the operation of relevant working groups, the results of this symposium will be comprehensively analyzed.
Afterward, a final plan to secure the constitutional status of special autonomy will be derived, followed by nationwide public discourse and response strategies.
