A diesel pipeline for transporting fuel from India to Bangladesh has been launched.

The pipeline will connect the Numaligarh Refinery in Assam, India to Parbatipur in Dinajpur district, Bangladesh.

The project was inaugurated by the Prime Ministers of both countries, Narendra Modi and Sheikh Hasina, through a virtual ceremony.

The pipeline is expected to help meet Bangladesh’s growing energy demand and strengthen ties between the two countries.

The project is also expected to create job opportunities and promote economic growth in the region.

The pipeline has a capacity to transport 2.5 million metric tonnes of diesel annually.
