The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is investigating two separate shootings involving teenagers that took place over the weekend.

One shooting occurred on Saturday night on the far south side of Indianapolis, where police found a person shot at a home on Dudley Avenue near banter Road and U.S 31 just before midnight.

The victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and police have a suspect in custody.

The incident is being investigated as a reckless shooting.

The second shooting happened early Sunday morning when two teens were shot and sent to the hospital in stable condition.

Police found them at Willard Park just off Washington Street on the near east side, but investigators have not located the original crime scene.

The two victims gave conflicting information about the location of the shooting, with one saying it happened on North State Avenue while the other said it happened on South State Avenue.

Police are currently collecting evidence from the car the teens were found in at Willard Park, and detectives are actively working on the case.

Both teens were conscious when medics took them to Methodist Hospital.

It is unclear why the teens drove to the park instead of seeking help at a nearby fire department or well-lit gas station.

The IMPD is urging anyone with information about either shooting to come forward.
