Hundreds of people participated in the 15th annual Fight for Air Climb in Jacksonville, taking on the challenge of climbing 34 floors inside the Bank of America tower.

The event was held to raise money for the American Lung Association, with a lot of participants climbing in honor of loved ones affected by lung disease.

The event saw firefighters in full gear competing against each other to complete the climb in the fastest time, with the first person finishing in three minutes and 33 seconds.

The president of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department noted the importance of the event, as many firefighters respond to calls related to lung issues.

The event showcased impressive athleticism and commitment to a good cause.
