Over the weekend, some of Houston’s brightest minds gathered for a charitable event known as Canstruction Houston. This event serves as a platform to showcase the talents of engineers, designers, contractors, and architects as they construct unique structures using cans.
This year, the event took place at the George AR Brown Convention Center, and various structures were created, ranging from famous Houston landmarks to beloved characters from pop culture. While the main theme was hunger awareness, there were also nods to Disney, Marvel, and other concepts.
After the event, the cans used for these structures will be generously donated to the Houston food bank. Throughout the years, Canstruction Houston has contributed an impressive amount of nearly 1.4 million pounds of food since 2000..
