Houston ISD students from Heights High School’s production studio took the opportunity to showcase their journalism skills by delivering news updates from within their school district.

In a recent broadcast, two aspiring young anchors shared some exciting events taking place in Houston ISD.

Firstly, seniors at Heights High School received a pleasant surprise when Superintendent Millard House paid them a visit.

Not only did he commend their achievements, but he also awarded scholarships to deserving students who demonstrated exceptional character and resilience in the face of adversity.

In addition, the district will host an event called the Readiness Apartment, dedicated to celebrating graduating seniors who have either secured employment or committed to serving in the U.S.

armed forces.

This event will take place on May 18th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Delmar Fieldhouse.

Furthermore, Houston ISD will also be hosting a special event called the System Applications Product (SAP) Week.

During this event, students who have acquired knowledge in software businesses will have the opportunity to showcase their companies and pitch their ideas to judges and special guests.

SAP Week will feature various activities, including SAT GameDay, an entrepreneur fair, and a mock interview day.

The event is scheduled to run from May 22nd to May 24th at Sam Houston High School.
