Spokane County, Washington witnessed a historic flight over the weekend as the region’s first all-female law enforcement flight crew took to the skies.
The crew consisted of civilian pilot Megan Fine, along with tactical flight officers Makalia McKitrick and Krystal Bitzer.
The flight crew assisted with calls related to a missing child, a carjacking, and an assault.
Fine, who is also a medical student, emphasized the importance of overcoming gender expectations and sending a message to young girls that they can achieve anything they desire.
The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office hailed the flight as a significant moment for the department, and the women involved were thrilled to be part of this historic milestone.
