Yesterday, two high school football teams from Central Oregon competed in the playoffs, illuminated by the Friday Night Lights. The undefeated IMC Champs, the Mountain View Cougars, hosted the Hillsboro Spartans in an intense quarterfinal match.

Although the Spartans fought valiantly, the Cougars proved to be unstoppable as they secured a 41-20 victory. In the next game, Mountain View will face Silverton on the road, with the opportunity to earn a spot in the state championship.

Meanwhile, across town, Summit faced off against the Lebanon Warriors. With a dominant 49-4 triumph, Summit advanced to the semifinals for the second consecutive year.

They will now have a chance to vie for the state title against the Wilsonville Wildcats, the team they defeated in the previous season..
