In the high school football playoffs, two teams from Central Oregon competed under the Friday Night Lights yesterday. Starting with the undefeated IMC Champs, the Mountain View Cougars hosted the Hillsboro Spartans in an intense quarterfinal match.
Despite the Spartans’ late fight, the Cougars proved to be too strong, securing a victory with a score of 41-20. Next, they will face Silverton on the road for a chance to play in the state championship.
In another part of town, Summit went up against the Lebanon Warriors. The Storm advanced to the semifinals for the second consecutive year with a dominant 49-4 victory.
They will now play against the Wilsonville Wildcats, the team they defeated last year for the state title..
