Hats and Horses Event Raises Money for Scholarships

PANAMA CITY – Club 360, a Panama City-based nonprofit organization, hosted its annual Hats and Horses event on Saturday evening in celebration of the Kentucky Derby.

The event, aimed at encouraging and providing guidance to young women entering the workforce, featured a silent auction, games, and the exciting viewing of the Kentucky Derby.

President of Club 360, Victoria Williams, expressed her enthusiasm for the event, stating that it usually raises approximately $25,000.

The funds raised from the Hats and Horses event are dedicated to providing college scholarships for deserving students.

One of the highlights of the evening was a raffle organized in partnership with United Way, offering prizes ranging from gift cards to surf ports.

Additionally, there were three live auction items that drew significant attention.

These items included a bottle of fine bourbon, a diamond necklace valued at $1,900 courtesy of Creative Gyms, who have been generous contributors in the past, and a highly sought-after trip for four to Tuscany.

The Hats and Horses event not only showcased the excitement of the Kentucky Derby but also demonstrated the community’s commitment to supporting education and empowering young women in their pursuit of higher education.

By attending and participating in the event, attendees had the opportunity to contribute to the noble cause of providing college scholarships and making a positive impact on the lives of ambitious students.
