The mother of a Hampton Roads rapper is seeking answers after her daughter was shot and killed in Las Vegas.
Diamond Hamilton, who had moved to Vegas to pursue her career as a rapper, was found shot multiple times in her bedroom.
The shooting followed an argument between Hamilton and her roommate, Virgil Max, over him moving out.
Initially, Max claimed self-defense and said that Hamilton was armed, but evidence found at the scene and witness testimony contradicted his story.
Max has been charged with open murder with a deadly weapon and is set to appear in court on April 5th.
Hamilton’s mother expressed mixed emotions towards Max, acknowledging that he too is someone’s child and that his mother must be hurting as well.
She is seeking answers as to why her daughter had to die.
