The Gwinnett County School Board has delayed the vote on a controversial sex education proposal for the largest school district in the state.

The proposed curriculum includes teaching children about abstinence, consent, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual abuse, and assault.

Members of the school board decided not to vote on the new curriculum during their meeting last night.

There will be no vote until next month at the earliest, but the debate surrounding the proposal is ongoing.

It is currently unclear when the proposal will be voted on.
