In Queens, a shocking stabbing took place overnight. A 22-year-old woman was brutally stabbed at least seven times inside an apartment building in Jamaica this morning. The victim is currently in critical condition, fighting for her life. Eyewitness News reporter Janice is live in Jamaica with the latest updates.
Janice reports that the victim was rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition and the search for the attacker is still ongoing. The incident occurred around 11:30 yesterday in the 11th floor hallway of the Crossing at Jamaica Station apartments on Archer Avenue. The police state that the victim sustained multiple stab wounds in her torso, shoulder, and hands. As of now, it is not clear what led to this violent encounter.
Detectives are currently investigating and have stated that the victim and suspect are not related. However, it is unclear whether they know each other, are neighbors, or complete strangers. We will provide any new information as soon as it becomes available..
