A man walking his dog in a state forest on Staten Island made a gruesome discovery when he found a human hand.
The hand was discovered at Amboy and Cunningham roads near North Mount Loretto State Forest in Pleasant Plains.
The NYPD rushed to the scene and used cadaver dogs to canvass the area.
The medical examiner’s office has confirmed that the hand is a right hand, but no other body parts have been found so far.
Locals are disturbed and scared by this discovery and are wondering who the hand belongs to and what the circumstances are surrounding the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
