In the district of Anino on Wednesday, a horrifying discovery was made when the torso of a woman was found in a dumpster. Startling new information has surfaced regarding the residence of the arrested individual.
Eyewitness news reporter Michelle Fischer, joining us live in the studio, provides us with further details. Investigators are actively pursuing multiple leads and a timeline is starting to take shape. On Tuesday, the authorities received a report indicating something amiss at the Hasal family home.
This report came in the night prior to the discovery of the woman’s torso. Accordingly, officers were dispatched to the residence of Samuel Hasal and his wife M. Lee, located at 4115 Cold Stream Terrace, in response to a possible deceased individual. The call was made from outside the LAPD Topanga station.
The radio call was made on November 7th around 5:30 p.m. It mentioned a suspicious bag that may have contained human remains. Unfortunately, when the officers arrived, nothing of significance was found.
The LAPD has yet to disclose the identity of the caller but mentions that they returned to the home on Wednesday and discovered blood inside. What they couldn’t find, however, were Mee and her parents who were reported missing the following morning. Upon learning about their disappearance, Samuel Haskell I fourth was arrested on charges of murder and is currently being held without bail. It should be noted that no formal charges have been filed yet.
Haskell IV is the son of Hollywood executive Sam Haskell senior, who stepped down as CEO of the Miss America organization due to a scandal involving emails in 2017. Haskell’s mother refused to comment on the disturbing allegations her son is facing.
DNA results from the dismembered body are still pending, and investigators are also searching for two vehicles: a white Volkswagen Tiguan and a white 2014 Nissan Pathfinder. This is Mark Brown reporting for ABC7.
