Governor Beshear Offers Well Wishes to Senator Mitch McConnell Following Hospitalization

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has offered his thoughts and well wishes to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell following the latter’s recent hospitalization.

McConnell, 81, reportedly fell at a private dinner near the White House on Wednesday evening and is expected to remain in the hospital for a few days.

Despite this, a close adviser to the senator has noted that McConnell is acting normally and is eager to leave the hospital as soon as possible.

Speaking to CBS affiliate Bowling Green on Friday, Governor Beshear expressed his concern for the senator’s well-being but acknowledged that he is waiting for the right moment to reach out personally.

“I want to be able to reach out to them at a time when I’m not going to interrupt their family,” the governor said.

“But we only wish the best for him.

The latest news seems to be better.

At least it sounds like it’s days.

And I know he’s getting great care up there.”

While details of McConnell’s condition and treatment remain private, many are sending their thoughts and prayers to the senator during his recovery.

McConnell has been a prominent figure in Kentucky and national politics for decades and continues to serve as the leader of the Republican minority in the Senate.
