Expel George Santos? GOP leaders aren’t ready to take that step
In a surprising turn of events, GOP leaders in the House of Representatives have expressed their reluctance to expel Representative George Santos, despite the federal charges he is facing.

“I want to be judged by the work I do in the body, and I stay committed to that.
We have one of those consequential notes in this Congress, which is a border bill, and I’m looking forward to being there.
And I will not resign,” Santos declared.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has made it clear that he will not support Santos in his re-election bid, further indicating the growing opposition within the GOP ranks.
