A man has been taken into custody after allegedly attacking a couple on Cherry Street in downtown Macon.
Witnesses say the incident started outside Little India before moving down Cherry Street, where the attacker hit cars and people.
Good Samaritans rushed to help, tackling the man to the ground.
A woman was also hit and pepper-sprayed during the incident.
The victim is recovering in the hospital and is expected to be okay.
The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating and has not released any information about what led up to the attack.
