The latest NEWS CENTER Maine Weather Video Forecast brings good news for skiers as temperatures warm up but not too much to make the snow slushy.

On Thursday, March 16th, Portland and Wisconsin hit 50 degrees, while Bangor mountains hit 45 degrees.

The visible satellite shows a lot of sun with daylight lasting until about 6:30 pm.

Storm from Monday night Tuesday is moving slowly off to the east over the last few days.

Friday night will see some accumulation in northern Maine before the cold front comes through.

However, Saturday will be pretty nice, much like Thursday, with sunshine and temperatures ranging from 50 degrees along the coastline to mid to upper 40s inland.

The pattern remains quiet for a while, with little to no accumulation expected, except for some snow showers in Waterville.

Sunday will be colder, in the 30s, and breezy, but Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of next week will be nice, with temperatures slightly above average.

The first day of spring will feel average with temperatures around 43 degrees, and there are no substantial storms expected for over a week.
