USC’s Gamecock Bench has been dominating this season, accounting for 45% of the team’s points per game (36.8 PPG).

The unit boasts AP All-Americans Zaya Cook and Aaliyah Boston, as well as Nate Smith, a defensive player of the year finalist.

In fact, Coach Staley admits that the bench players may even be better than the starters.

They’ve been beating the starters in practice and during games, tying or outscoring them in 11 games this season.

In their recent game against Norfolk State, the bench players scored an impressive 41 points.

Coach Staley attributes their success to their competitiveness and energy, which sets them apart from their opponents.

While the starters may edge them out in a full game, the Gamecock Bench’s performance in practice and on the court has been nothing short of impressive.
